"Revolting is dedicated to the absolute worship of late '80s death metal (Carnage,Impetigo) and horror/gore films from the 1980s. Ghamorean - Plaguempire (2005)

1. Wretch
2. Existence Without God
3. Project Sulphur Hate
4. Shackled
5. Parasite
6. Sirens for the Weak
7. Enigma of Human Deceit

Origin - Sweden
Style - Death/Black Metal

" Ghamorean is From Umea, Sweden. The band has been around for a while but they had only released 1 demo before this Debut in 2005"

" Their music is pretty vicious, evil and dark but yet dynamic and varied. People will probably think of endless blast-beats, shrieking vocals and tremolo guitars with poor variation when they hear or read death/black metal. But that's not the case here. Ghamorean is a band that has taken influences from the Norwegian black metal scene and mixed them with ingredients of modern death metal....To arrive at something really interesting "

" All the members deliver a splendid mix of pale vicious black metal and heavy hammer-slamming death metal. The vocals on this album sound like a raspy sort of Tompa like thing...Really good . The production is clear and you can hear everything separately. Many songs have great tempo transitions, like the track ''Shackled'' for example. The intro is incredibly intense, the tempo is lowered a bit but it is compensated by some impressive shredding and catchy drumming. And finally the tempo is lowered even more, and right after that the pace is turned up once again "

All in all a fine debut....And we will be hearing more from these guys ..As they have released a new one in late 2008...More on that one later...

6. 'Til Death Do Us Join
7. Sanctum
8. Skinless
9. Hidden Under Scars

Origin - Sweden
Style - Death Metal

" Seance's second album, 1993's Saltrubbed Eyes, would also be their last...Until reforming recently with the top notch 'Awakening Of The Gods' lp "

" A textbook 1990's death metal band from Sweden, Linköping's Seance most closely resemble early Entombed or Edge of Sanity with their sludgy death metal crush; their mid-level complexity and mid-paced brutality. Breaking down the music: they add a few symphonic accents to "Angelmeat (Part II)," bring nicely evil harmonies to close the title track, or the odd clean-picked melody lines to instrumental "Hidden Under Scars," that Seance achieve their most distinctive moments "

" Seance served like an incubator for later bands such as Witchery, The Haunted etc..Although I prefer Seance myself...Yeah Im Old !!....But Fuck it !

This is a lost treasure of an album from a day that is not forgotten !

1. Storm of the Apocalypse
2. The First Defiance
3. Execution of Mankind
4. Mass Manipulation
5. Night of the Emperor
6. Shadow of Fear
7. Madness Reigns
8. Deadly Legacy

Origin - Sweden
Style - Thrash Metal

" Agony is one of the most overlooked bands in the history of thrash metal. The fact that they are Swedish makes things even better..."

" “The first defiance” is a masterpiece on pretty much all accounts. There are riffs-a-fucken-plenty that guarantee your head will be bangin and there’s some serious fuck en songwriting going on. These guys had it all figured out; they took the best parts of the Bay Area scene, molded it into their own concoction and ended up with a fantastic album "

" Coming from a punk background (and formerly being known as Agoni – the Swedish word for “agony”, of course), “The first defiance” left the punk influences behind and concentrated on the ABC of magnificent thrash fucking metal with all sorts of time changes and ripping solo's....But its the awesome riffs that set this one apart ! "

If this album had today's powerful productions...This would be a legend!......In my mind it is anyway !

If you claim to be a serious thrash fan and don't know these guys?.......Please up-grade your knowledge and find this at all costs......

10. Revolution Of Underground Legions (Dethroning The Tyrant Pt.3)

Origin - USA
Style - Thrash Metal

" Philadelphia's Rumpelstiltskin Grinder are back with their second album of Speed/Thrash/ Metal "

" These guys play as fast as they freaking can without it getting death or grind. "Graveyard Vandalism" is ludicrously speedy, the riff at 2:41 in "Traitor's Blood" is almost too fast and every song contains about a novella's worth of lyrics. Some tunes, like "Brainwasher C. 1655" and "Fiends in the Mountain, Ghouls in the Valley" (honestly, I love these song titles), add a bit of German thrash melody amidst the double-bass barrage and oh-so-perfect riffing. The production is crisp, clear and complements the surprisingly solid instrumentation nicely "

" Look...If you are into metal that pokes fun at the genre and at the same time gives respect to the old-school.. Then this is for you!

For fans of: Testament, Exodus,Municipal Waste, Kreator, Toxic Holocaust and all fun... over the top Metal.....

Tracks 10-14 are from the Adipocere 7 inch tracks (Morpheus)

Origin - USA
Style - Death Metal

" An often overlooked but nonetheless hugely influential component of the New York Death Metal scene, Morpheus Descends has been praised by bands such as Suffocation as originators of this technical, dark and sludgy groove oriented vein of death metal "

" The track's on this debut album show death metal in various tempos, oppressive melodies, deep growling vocals and crunching guitars with leads. Morpheus Descends plays in the good old tradition so you know what to expect and certainly expect no surprises. Keeping in mind that these are old recordings you know where the Ney York style bands get their inspiration from "

This is an underground classic........

5. Victims
6. Smoke em Out
7. Hate at Last Sight
8. Tension in the Stronghold
9. March of the Veterans
10. Prove Your Pain
11. Last Dawn

Origin - Norway
Style - Blackened Death/Thrash Metal

" Formed in the summer of 2006 in Bergen, Norway, this group of talented musicians have members from legendary bands like ‘Old Funeral’, ‘Grimfist’, ‘Taake’ and ‘Borknagar’ to name a few. Their spirit and hunger is based on their passion for that old 80’s death/thrash metal feel "

" This album is a Thrash Metal kick in the teeth, a reflective burst of Tankards steely angst and Destructions lacerating vocal gurgle. The whole musical experience here is high octane; head banging retro thrash with a modern punch. Of the eleven numbers here you will discover a wide range of tempos and solid guitar arrangements. Stud Bronson’s vocals rasp away like a chainsaw and there are some tasty solo's also "

This is a must for fans of ‘Desaster’, ‘Destruction’, and early ‘Sodom’. It is a classic barrage of extreme dirty death/thrash metal from the 80’s but with a modern approach....So grab a beer and give these guys a listen for a thrashing good time !

3. Bleed For Me
4. Lord Of All (Unborn)
5. Suffering Endlessly
6. Fabric Of The Multiverse
7. Instinct To Kill
8. Phenomenon Of Doom
9. Extinction
10. Abhorrent Copulation Machine

Origin - Finland
Style - Death Metal

" Slugathor's debut...originally on tape only(333) copies "

" Finland may never have been as prolific with bands as Sweden, but what they lack in quantity, they make up for with quality. I for one will take quality any day of the week. Finland has some truly classic bands... Demigod, Xysma, Abhorrence/Amorphis, Sentenced (the early stuff at least), Funebre, Demilich, and Adramelech. Well, you can add Slugathor to that list. Here is yet another band that has told the modern scene to fuck off and die in pain "

" Heavy as hell, brutal in a decidedly "non-American" way, and all-around crushing. Slugathor are one of the new rising stars in the underground. Chances are that you've never even heard about them, but you should seek them out. This is one of those bands that is buried deep in the underground, down where many "real" bands lie. They come from the same place that the gods of old came from, with the same kind of mindset and attitude towards metal. Slugathor are somewhere in the realm of Rottrevore and Incantation, impossibly combined with Demigod(Demo era) "

Awesome old-school stuff here folks !

Devilyn - XI (2005)

1. The Counting of Quartered Heavens
2. The Enemy Within
3. Faith
4. The List
5. Degrade Flower
6. God Eater
7. Charming Maidens With No Skin
8. The Seven Virtues of Divine
9. Searching For The Beauty

Origin - Poland
Style - Death Metal

" Devilyn's 4th full-length, “XI”, is ultimately the band's best! "

" From the bands beginning years (about 10 years past), the technicality alongside the brutality keeps getting more vicious and precise. To those of you a little unfamiliar with Poland's Devilyn, they are kind of similar to Vader and Decapitated with more technical riffs! “XI”, or just “11”, consists of 9 tracks (8, without the 45 second intro) and is a very short 25 minutes playing time. Have the numbers confused you yet? Nevertheless, Devilyn boast of thunderous bass riffs, shredding rhythmic & technical lead guitars, absolutely brutal & precise pounding on the drums and Lord Worm-like vokills. “XI” is both diverse and uncompromisingly aggressive "

Fans of Decapitated, Vader and other well-produced, blasting death metal with a sense of brutal groove will likely dig this album.....

1. Misfortune
2. Grave Ideals (Nekromaniak)
3. Spiritual Justice
4. Humble Abode
5. Stargazer (The Summoning)
6. Stargazing (Stargazer II)
7. Deprived Of Afterlife
8. Invocation
9. Cantara (Dead Can Dance cover)

Origin - Australia
Style - Death Metal

" Abramelin's self-titled debut album is a demonically heavy, crushingly brutal and breathtakingly technical metal record that wades waist deep in gore of a level so visceral as to leave virtually any other band of their kind reeling in disbelief "

" Musically, this is a masterful album. By 1995, goregrind was a genre that was already running out of ideas and it would have been easy for Abramelin, a band that formed as Acheron around the same time as Cannibal Corpse, to merely go with the flow. Fortunately this was a band comprised of some remarkable musicians with an obvious if sinister purpose. Guitarist Tim Aldridge is clearly the star here. The technical aspects of his riffing and the complexity of his arrangements are simply mind-blowing. His playing is sharp and brutally aggressive but still possessed of a very clever melodic sense, and his lead playing is stylish in a late-era Carcass fashion. If that's not all, he throws in a gloomy classical guitar piece slap bang in the middle of the gruelling corpse-fucking epic "Stargazer". Behind Aldridge is the faultless time-keeping of one of the country's best but mostly unsung metal drummers in Euan Heriot, a natural and fluid player who blasts without falling back on triggers and tricks. Topping it all off is Simon Dower, who delivers his lines in a bowel-quakingly guttural roar "

Abramelin is one of the greatest Death Metal bands from austrailia... And after allowing this album to mince your soul you will surely understand why....Essential listening !

7. Century of the Deviant
8. Stormfeed
9. The Ambulant Plague of Humans
10. Season of the Locust

Origin - Sweden
Style - Death Metal

" Havok's full length debut "

" This band is quickly becoming one of my favorite new-comers...After the terrific Ep 'Apathy Esplanade' 2008...Havok unleashes...What I would call Sophisticated Death Metal...What I mean is: Structures and tempo changes that arent your usual chugga...chugga riff patterns "

" This is in the Brutal Death Metal camp for sure but with some quite cool experimental atmospheric touches within the guitar work. Imagine some weird melodies and moody type of post rock elements packed between brutal blasts and freaky kinds of riffs. These are longer tracks than most..So I find that the more you listen the better it gets ! "

I hear fellow swede's Anata as a reference point..And Havok follows the same path of Highly artistic Creations......

This record does contain the songs from the ep..but with a better production !

Take a listen to one of the more adventurous and original sounding acts out there.

3. Depths of Depravity
4. Suspended in Tribulation
5. Torn into Enthrallment
6. The Invoking
7. Synthetically Revived
8. Brood of Hatred
9. Breeding the Spawn

Origin - USA
Style - Brutal Technical Death Metal

" What does one write about an album such as Pierced From Within? Is there anything that hasn’t already been said, and would I be doing the album a disservice by trying to capture its essence into words?...Every time I hear this album I am astounded at how good it sounds, even 14 years after its original release. Suffocation surely brought a unique sound and approach to the death metal scene and though many bands have tried, no one has been able to fully capture the sound and the feel that this band possesses "

" Suffocation just might have been at the top of their game here in many ways. After the somewhat disappointing (but still decent)-"Breeding The Spawn" effort, they quickly bounced back with a definite winner in "Pierced From Within". Where the previous album Could have been a masterpiece with a decent production, this one not only boasts a sublimely brutal production, but several other notable improvements as well....Frank Mullen's vocals improved tenfold , The compositions are tight, intense, focused, and containing a grab-bag of dense, manic riffs and solos that the bionic Hobbs/Cerrito-duo were so famous for "

Pierced From Within simply is one of the best technical death metal albums of all time period ! And an essential album from the history of death metal......

8. Link Of Chain
9. Next Dying
10. At Last

Origin - Russia
Style - Melodic Death Metal

" Symphonic Melodic Death Metal is what you are instore with this debut from Russia's Ungraved "

" And a fine debut it is.....Keyboard driven melodies back all the tracks..But its the guitars that shine...Dripping with gothenburg Melody all over the place..Giving a nod to Dark Tranquillity,Old In Flames etc. "

" This cd comes off as being very professional and well produced...And being self-released first by the band (Later picked up for distribution) these lads did quite a job. The keys are a bit much in my book..As I am not in the Children Of Bodom camp...But it is a good record and one most Melo Deth fan's will dig "

Origin - Sweden
Style - Death/Thrash Metal

" On ‘Hellucinate’, the groups 4th album Impious has delivered a potent thrashfest worthy of any serious metal head’s attention "

" The speedy guitar work is a crunching discharge of earnest metallized destruction. The twin guitar attack of Valle Adzicand Robin Sorqvist is punishing throughout the entire affray.Martin Akesson’s venomous, growling vocals carry the groupsstyle of up-tempo thrash very well, lending sinister aggressionto the dark musical landscape set forth by the rest of the band. The third track, ‘Infernique’ is sure to get necks snapping with it’s furious pace. The chorus of the song features some really ripping high pitched vocals that are akin to Rob Halford...Surprise ! "

" Classic Death Metal name for a band that comes with a classic Death Metal logo and a more than kick-ass cover artwork. I was damn sure that "From Hate Incarnated" is a brutal Death Metal album right from the start. The butchers did not disappoint me and deliver an album full of pure Death Metal holocaust "

" "From Hate Incarnated" is an album that will rip the listener with some ass kicking guitar work (these two guitarists surely know how to shred like Death Metal maniacs) and an incredible rhythm section. SPECTRAL MORTUARY have obviously been influenced by the US Death Metal scene, and mostly by great acts like Cannibal Corpse, Suffocation and I can say that they also reminded me slightly of the Polish titans Decapitated. The band is mostly based on its catchy riffing and great technique..But with some needed groove in there also "

15. Last Man Standing (Guitar Wall mix)
16. Den Siste (Analog mix)

Tracks 9-16 bonus second disc

Origin - Norway
Style - Black Metal

" Satyricon's sound has evolved over the years from basic black metal to groovier, more accessible black 'n roll.On this their seventh LP..Things are no different "

" The Age Of Nero is similar to their last CD Now Diabolical. The songs are mostly mid tempo with relatively few blast beats. Frost cuts loose periodically, but for the most part the drums are more groovy than brutal. Satyricon still has some of the traditional black metal vibe, but those moments of bleakness quickly transition into something more melodic "

" The riffs are simple, yet effective. The arrangements are pretty sparse as the band uses a less is more approach and avoids having layers of keyboards and other atmospherics. Instead the melodies and riffs take center stage, and with each listen seem to become a little catchier. "Black Crow On A Tombstone" for instance...was in my head for a week after hearing it "

The Age Of Nero won't satisfy those who want the old school style of their early days, but if you've enjoyed Satyricon's recent output, this one will hit the spot.

7. Religionism

" 3rd full-length...and 1st in over 6 years! "

" This album See's Diabolical heading in the same direction as their last 2 records(which I enjoyed immensely)....Swedish Death/Thrash with some progressive elements. Thrash poly rhythms, some black metal elements and traditional death metal. Their are plenty of twists and turns on here with great vocals and some truly killer riffing "

" Not a bad return after such a long time, actually quite good...Some bands get better with age..it seems...And that fucking cover art is badass !

Insision - Beneath the Folds of Flesh (2002)

1. World Impaled
2. Trapped Within
3. Sado God
4. Temple of Flesh
5. Rewind into Chaos
6. Impamiiz Graa
7. My Fever
8. Before My Altar
9. Ex Oblivione

Origin - Sweden
Style - Brutal Death Metal

" Those with a taste for the heavier end of the musical spectrum have come to the right place. Insision's full-length debut is a relentless collection of deadly death metal . Akin to the likes of Cannibal Corpse and Morbid Angel, these Swedish men have quite surprisingly avoided the stereotypical "Scandinavian metal" album, leaving the trademark symphonic guitars behind for a more brutal thrash approach "

" Beneath the Folds of Flesh leaves the listener battered and bruised, viciously mauling your ears with song after song of razor-edged intensity. "Sado God," "Rewind Into Chaos," and "Impamizz Graa" never release their grip from your throat, savagely choking you with remarkable force until your skin is cold. Lyrically, Insision avoids the clichéd death metal style of blood and guts, and instead takes time to tell outlandish tales of the days of yore, though few may be capable of distinguishing the demonic growls of Carl Birath "

American styled Death Metal from Sweden ?.....Who knew?

Top 20 Albums Of 2008

10. Hooded Menace - Fulfill The Curse

" This is basically a doom album with death metal vocals. So good that it sounds like Candlemass with Deathly vokills. These guys are evil, cavernous, and downright nasty. Hooded Menace plays the finest bonecrushing doom metal out there with a great sense of melody. Really, a review of this album can't describe how great this album is. Just buy this masterpiece of Horror Death/Doom Metal right now!

9. Darkane - Demonic Art

" As far as I’m concerned, “Demonic Art” is definitely a step forward for Darkane. They’re clearly improving on their particular neo-thrash formula, and having a new, more energetic vocalist will help them realize their undoubted potential to the fullest in the near future. Their songs continue to be dynamic, technical and catchy, and that’s just the necessary mix required in order to get my attention. Good work here, by all fucken means! "

8. Evocation - Dead Calm Chaos

" Evocation have been around since 1991 and in 2008 they are still swedish killers ! Dead Calm Chaos is a riff monster and every riff is crushing ! Add some new-found melody and it makes for a album with heaviness and that good old Swedish rotten groove. In a year of super death releases, I’d put "Dead Calm Chaos" as one of my favorites of this genre for 2008 "

7. Deny The Urge - Blackbox Of Human Sorrow

" Deny The Urge from Lower Saxony must be a well kept secret, because the four Germans unleash a brutal death metal onslaught on their second album that leaves me more than once speechless. Fast and technical death metal of the highest order is on tap here. Blackbox Of Human Sorrow is not only a very good record, but also better than most what the hip metal labels are signing these days. Fans of technical death metal are in for a treat!

6. Guillotine - Blood Money

" Guillotine storms back to the thrash folds with this quick paced, catchy-as-all-fucking-Hell album. Blood Money isn’t necessarily retro or old school as it certainly has influences from old and new bands, but the overall sound is a bit more contemporary. Not only does Blood Money rarely let up with the pummeling onslaught, but it adds some seriously infectious grooves and melodies into it’s thrash mix. I think you’ll be hard pressed to find a catchier thrash album released this year "

5. Septic Flesh - Communion

" Every song on this disc is a ferocious battering of pure metal mayhem...Backed by a full orchestra that makes the entire album worthy of any metal fan’s personal collection of prized masterpieces. Whether it would fall under the category of death metal or modern black metal, as it has strong symphonic elements and uses multiple vocal styles..It matters not !....“Communion” has ranked itself among the best albums of the year easily "

4. Bloodbath - The Fathomless Mastery

" I have definitely went back and forth on this one ? But the more I listened to it I came up with this...This album is a superb display of death metal perfection that isn’t blast beats and breakdowns, just pure, honest riffs and memorable moments-just like it was in the early 90s. Eleven head-crushing tracks that will surely rip you a new one. Led by Mike Åkerfeldt’s vocals that are as evil and thick as ever and Martin Axenrot’s impressive percussion. It’s amazing how most death metal bands spend their entire careers looking for that right sound and Bloodbath manage to kick out this record like its nothing "

3. Outcast - Self-Injected Reality

" I really hope that people will understand that they must check this band as soon as possible because they're great really. If you like technical Thrash/Death Metal, be sure that "Self-Injected Reality" will be for you! Outcast plays a really technical modern Thrash Metal mixed with Death Metal elements and above all with really complex deep parts which come from the lands of Progressive music. This is excellent really and the songs are so complex and go in a ton of different directions that it's really addictive.."Self-Injected Reality" is a great release highly recommended ! "

2. In Mourning - Shrouded Divine

" Forget Opeth !......You will find no progressive 70s jazz noodling on this record. "Shrouded Divine" is a high quality release full of dark, moody, death-influenced metal, interspersed with melancholy acoustic detours and instrumental sections, all infused with a general 'progressive' vibe. In Mourning is a stunning newcomer we welcome in the future gallery of giants. Some of these guys are also in Volturyon I might add...Absolutely Essential !

God Damn boiling this down to 1 is hard.....But Here is my personal favorite from 2008...................

1. Revocation - Empire Of The Obscene

" Revocation pull off a huge up-set with this album...I would have never guessed a Technical Death/Thrash Metal band from the US would be anywhere in my list..But Revocation slayed me from minute one...Their brand of infectiously ruthless Tech/Thrash/Death is truly monumental. David Davidson is definitely one of the top up and coming guitarists in metal. I shit you not !...This guy is unreal !...With his technical riffery to the blazing solos on every track. And although his vocals took a bit to get used to..They are actually refreshing in a world of soundalikes. This record never ceases to amaze me..Every Time I hear it..I get something else out of it.... Empire Of The Awesome is about right !

Well There you go...My faves for 2008....Now onto 2009......Hope you enjoyed this nonsense....Look forward to seeing yours !

Top 20 Albums Of 2008

Here It is .....this time of year again.....Holy shit was this hard..As I listened to 650+ albums in 2008. Thats alot of material to wade through..But I have reached the conclusion...

Disclaimer: These are my opinions...Only Mine....Everyone will have theirs..But these are mine. This list has nothing to do with any other lists anywhere on the net. You will see no Metallica or Guns And Roses here...Just Albums from this site.

I base my opinions on Entertainment values...Listenability(Do you keep going back to the record), Emotions (does it kick your ass everytime you hear it), Value(does it kick your ass all the way through..Not half)....And just what I dig...Fuck its not rocket science......Its METAL !

So without further bullshit.......Get IT!

20. Crocell - The God We Drowned

" With the overall emphasis on laying down crushing grooves and memorable riffs.
Crocell's debut was a kick in the danish scenes ass ! A great production... Lots of time shifts keeps This album interesting... Awesome cover art completes a truly fantastic album that fans of extreme metal should not miss! "

19. Sanctus Infernum - ST

" From the none-more diabolic hotbed of...umm...Kansas, come the unique sounds of Sanctuc Infernum. Death/Doom metal from the Usa none the less!
My first inclination is to say that they are a death metal band, but they're a death metal band that play extremely slowly. To me a nice mix of Morbid Angel and Candlemass about does it....The pacing and production of the album is bloody brilliant – it's a thick, gravelly, unkempt record that seems hand made from some kind of diabolic granite. I honestly can't get enough of it. Slow death metal is the past. Slow death metal is the future.... "

18. Torture Squad - Hellbound

" This fifth release from Torture Squad is a relentless meshing of Death and Thrash Metal. 10 rip-roaring track of pure energy that should bring a smile to any thrashers face. Fans who just want something that's fast, aggressive and riff-heavy and don't care whether its fresh or new.. will dig this, provided they don't go expecting a tech-Death wankfest or something earth-shattering. Its not terribly original but 'Hellbound' is still loads of fun and has enough memorable tunes to make it worth your while "

17. Soulfly - Conquer

" Conquer is a helluva release !....This ornery beast renders its listeners blown away by the level of aggression, but letting it all hang out creatively as well. If you can ignore having the same verse repeated at you for the better part of four minutes, then Conquer is easily the best record to have the Soulfly logo slapped on the cover....Truly a big surprise for me !

16. GodHateCode - Aeons

" Old-school death-metal meets modern and straight in the face brutality! You would think that would sum it up...The band's mix is clear: You get a nice touch of Swedish death metal, Grindcore-ish vocals with a nice Spanish pepper in the ass.
This shit is catchy and heavy at the same time...Check it out of you like uptempo death metal with grind influences "

15. Testament - The Formation Of Damnation

" Testament's The Formation of Damnation had been hotly anticipated for two reasons. First, it marks the return of lead guitarist Alex Skolnick..Second, it's taken quite a while... Since 1999's The Gathering. The soul is back on Formation. It's a Testament record, no more and no less. Despite Skolnick's return, it's in line with Testament's output after his departure in the '90s. Thus, thrash riffs bulge with death metal heft, but leavened by the band's trademark melodic sense. Skolnick's fluid shredding is welcome and familiar, And Chuck Billy sounds as good as ever. Formation bursts with energy....Andy Sneap contributes his usual clear, heavy mix...And For Me...Formation is a clear return to form ! "

14. The Arcane Order - In The Wake Of Collisions

" “In The Wake Of Collisions” shows the band harnessing a much more developed and explorative sense of direction that is both darker and a lot more brutal than any of us could have hoped for. Sweeping you head first into a flurry of light-speed blasts, orchestrated guitars and an almost regal sense of dark atmosphere, the dazzling display of musicianship and song writing is something to behold. This lasting and blasting slab of progressive Death/Thrash is one that must be experienced by everybody "

13. Gojira - The Way Of All Flesh

" The Way Of All Flesh, Gojira's latest album is supposed to be the next step in the band's ascent into super-stardom and I can say with a degree of certainty that it will serve this purpose successfully ! Gojira plays a hybrid style of angular riffs and bruising break-downs. With 'The Way Of All Flesh' We are treated to an essentially flawless combination of groove and brutality, highlighted by intelligent song writing. See them live !.....Simply crushing...Period ! "

12. Abysmal Dawn - Programmed To Consume

" This second slab of brutality from L.A. based Abysmal Dawn takes elements of Black metal, Thrash and Floridian death metal, pummeling you with guttural vocals, tasty lead breaks and a drummer that is sure to be a ‘name’ in drum circles very soon. With a cracking front cover by Pär Oloffson (Psycroptic) and a great production job by John Haddad (Intronaut), this is one to hunt down for fans of solid death/thrash metal with a flair for the technical.....Essential Listening ! "

11. Volturyon - Blood Cure

" This debut killed from the start !...Crushing technical riffs ala Decapitated and a great production. The guitar solos are quite innovative and original as well, creepy sounding with a hint of progressive influence . This is one of the best debut's of 2008....Cant wait to hear their next one !

Fuck Im sleepy !!!.........I will get to the top 10 Tomorrow.....

3. FearDotGov
4. Day Of Torment
5. Gunshell Revenge
6. Right Hand Servant
7. On Bleeding Knees
8. The Deviant
9. Ten Times The Pain
10. Absolute Hate
11. Die now !

Origin - Sweden
Style - Death/Thrash Metal

" Sweden's Evildoer play a style that's very much in line with their countrymen's take on the Thrash and Death Metal genres; that being brutality with a decided focus on melody "

" You'd have to be downright deaf to not recognize the debt owed to The Haunted, At The Gates, Slayer and more. This does not mean they are exact copies...Rather they pay homage to the first couple Haunted records...some Darkane type vocals from Within Y frontman Andreas Solveström round out the onslaught "

" Terror Audio" is technically proficient melodic Thrash with strong lead work, a more than capable vocalist and enough melodic sensibility and songwriting variety to hold one's interest....."

Fans of The Haunted,Dew Scented,At The Gates,Darkane etc. check it out !
