" First off is Asphyx...Let me tell you when I hear Martin's voice on this it is just awesome..No other voice like his in Metal today...Pure Agony ! As far as the track?....Pure crushing Death/Doom at its finest !.....Catchy...Memorable...And produced by Dan Swano.....Its only a single track(Fuck)But its killer "

" Secondly is Hooded Menace from Joensuu,Finland...And surely one of the best bands of this genre. Lasse Pyykko has a knack for writing doomy but melodic songs that are both heavy and memorable and this one is no different....Actually this song is fucken killer with a melodicness to it that just kills me everytime ! "

So there you go....An absolutely mandatory 7" available in Black or Picture vinyl from the already mentioned Doomentia Records....Go and buy it !

Hooded Menace / Coffins - 7" Vinyl Split (2010)

1. Hooded Menace - The Haunted Ossuary

2. Coffins - In Bloody Sewage

Origin - Finland,Japan

Style - Death Metal/Doom Metal

" How can you go wrong ?.....When you put 2 devastating bands on one 7" vinyl....Get some creepy fucken  artwork and release it in limited colored vinyl....Well?.....You cant go wrong !...And Doomentia records put this seething bastard of a single out and it is heavy as a mother fucker "

" First up is (Joensuu) Finlands own Hooded Menace...Easily one of my personal favorites over the last 3 years or so. Lasse Pyykkö has a penchant for writing sludgy creepy riffs that are very catchy and always memorable and "The Haunted Ossuary" is no different. With its heavy riff and quality solo's and crushing vocals.....These guys can do no wrong in my book ! .....Awesome!! "

" Coffins is on side B and here we have more of their suffocating brand of Death/Doom Metal...Alot less polished than H.M. but quite effective all the same....Coffins always sounds like they recorded their tracks with the amps and levels on 10 all the way across. This shit is punishing all the time...No let ups..No mellow parts....Maybe more of an aquired taste....But none the less absurdly heavy ! "

For the cost of a dinner out at Burger Queen...You can own a limited piece (100 splatter vinyl,400 regular) of Death Metal Goodness....Go get it !

" First up is Apokefale from Seversk,Siberia....I had not heard these guys and I can tell you..I was quite surprised at these tracks...Blackened/Death metal is what they do...With a experimental side also...Sorta industrial, They call their selves blackcore....Fuck that... this is an amalgam of Satyricon,Behemoth and Crionics styled Metal..And damn convincing !....Great production and Riffing with outstanding drumming....Very unique...Now I'm curious to hear the 2 full lengths "

" On to Lipetsk,Russia's Devoid Of Grace...Now I featured their Ep last year..And it was high class Death Metal all the way...And these tracks are no different...Powerful tracks full of riffing ala Decapitated,Vader.....Quality stuff here....They are currently in the studio working on their first full-length..I'm sure it will be deadly ! "

You dont get a quality Split often..Where both bands are unique from each other and also kick your teeth in....This one does!...And dont be put off by the experimental side of Apokefale...Give it a try...You might dig it !

2. Godlike

3. In This Church

4. Last Dance

Tracks 1-2 Sororicide

Tracks 3-4 Chorus Of Ruin

Origin - Iceland/United Kingdom

" Killer split on 'Rising Realm' Records circa 1993 "

" Chorus Of Ruin was a British doom/Death metal band that originated from the Bradford area. They recorded a demo tape called "Les Miserables" in 1991, the same year the band was formed. A couple of more releases followed until the band broke up in 1996. The two tracks here are Doomy/Gothic sounding with spoken and growled vocals "

" The Sororicide tracks are what were here for.....Awesome Death Metal from the Icelandic crew....I think what these guys had going was a true atmosphere in their music like no other at the time. Heavy Riffing and bizarre melodies make this band truly unique and one of my all timers "

This is worth it for the Sororicide tracks alone !
