Forbidden - Omega Wave (2010)

1. Alpha Century
2. Forsaken at The Gates
3. Overthrow
4. Adapt Or Die
5. Swine
6. Chatter
7. Dragging My Casket
8. Hopenosis
9. Immortal Wounds
10. Behin The Mask
11. Inhuman Race
12. Omega Wave

Origin - USA
Style - Thrash Metal

" I am old !.....Its been 22 years since I was fortunate enough to share the stage with a young 2nd wave of Bay Area Thrash Metal band Forbidden..Ahh those were the days...Now 13 years after their last full length (Green)..A Heavy but more groovish metal & Less Thrash Metal album...Comes the reforming and now a new record ! "

" Forbidden was raw but great then....They are fucking awesome now !....Armed with 10 new tracks and a couple intros...The boys are back in town to pick up where "Twisted Into Form" left off. First off what hits you is the bombastic production and then the crushing guitars of Craig Locicero(OG member) & Steve Smyth(Nevermore,Testament) bringing the heavy riffs and old school trade off solo's...Simply put..Brilliant ! "

" All bullshit aside...Russ Anderson always brought a different style than most voices in the Thrash Metal game...Almost a Power Metal voice if anything with the higher range than most. I'm here to tell you now : There is not a better voice in Thrash Metal today PERIOD ! This guy can do it all..A deadly combo of Halfordism's and his own ballsy gruff style....Fuk this guy can sing !!! "

" Highlights include "Forsaken At The Gates" a true Thrash Anthem for today !
"Overthrow" with its heavy riffs and gang choruses. "Hopenosis" with its sheer brilliant vocals and memorable riffs(I'm sure I've played this track 50 times already) & "Behind The Mask" with its angry demeanor and catchy riffs (Check out the scream at the end.Brings back alot of memories)Maximum respect..I only wish I could still do that shit "

" I don't want to leave out Mark Hernandez's(Vio-Lence,Heathen) drumming and Matt Camacho's(OG member) bass which brings the album all together and makes it the force that it is"

Omega Wave is the best pure Thrash Album since Testament's "The Gathering".....And as much as I have enjoyed the new wave of Thrash Metal upstarts.....This blows them to the wind !
60 minutes of Catchy,Crushing music..Regardless of Genre with brilliant performances all around.
Catch them on tour with Evile,Gama Bomb,Bonded By Blood...Should be epic !

Where the Fuck you been?......Now Its Time !

2. Beyond The Pale
3. Hammer And Life
4. Class Dismissed (A Hate Primer)
5. Downfall
6. March Of The Sycophants
7. Nanking

8. Burn, Hollywood, Burn
9. Democide
10. The Sun Is My Destroyer
11. A Perpetual State Of Indifference
12. Good Riddance

Origin - USA
Style - Thrash Metal

" After 30 years in the Thrash Metal buisness....Here comes Exodus to show everyone how the fuck it is done ! "

" I had the pleasure of playing with Exodus a few times back in the 80s,90s and I can tell you...These guys never took a night off....They always ripped and always gave all they had. This new record see's a confident, veteren band that have been around the world and back..And are still pumping out albums such as this "

" This new record is a ball crusher...Period !......This will hurt your speakers...Your ears....Your neighbors....Its that good !.......Riffing has always been Exodus main forte...And Exhibit B is no different....Over an hour of riff after punishing riff...Interspliced with terrific solo's and a bombastic mix.To me..Rob Dukes sounds like Zetro Souza alot of the time...And the rest he fits in his own style....Which is fine. But it is Gary Holt & Lee Altus that are the stars here....Their riffs and melodic solo's and dual harmony guitars are spectacular and worth the price of admission "

So in the end...Exodus is here to show all the wonderkind retro-Thrashers and high top wearin youngsters the real shit.....This aint Old-School.......These Mother-Fuckers are Pre-School !

Get It?........Good!

Corrupt - Born of Greed - Demo (2004)

1. Born of Greed
2. Human Wreckage
3. Warpath

Origin - Sweden
Style - Thrash Metal

" I have been gone for a week or so on buisness...Didnt have time to post anything...Sorry people!
Not much new stuff anyway...Revolting..Not Yet,Entrails...Not Yet....Hopefully soon...Anyways..."

" Here we are talking Thrash Metal....My own preferred style back in the day...Death Metal was not here yet. Corrupt or Corrupted before the name change are in the fine tradition of Old-Style sounding Thrash bands from Sweden...Much like the mighty Hypnosia..One of my all timers"

" Aggressive old school thrash, also reminiscent of Kreator ("Terrible Certainty", "Extreme Aggression") and Destruction..Maybe late 80s Slayer and Sepultura also. The vokills are from the Mille Petroza school of singing here...Snarling and vicious. Riffing is provided by talented guitarist Olof Wikstrand (Enforcer,Caustic Strike)..Who has to be the most prolific Thrash musician in Sweden right now"

A top notch demo that was later put on cassette with a bonus track...I have the Cdr copy....That track is a Slayer cover 'Kill Again'

Recommended for all true Thrashers out there !

Go Ahead !....Get It!
Here...     There....

Evile - Infected Nations (2009)

1. Infected Nation
2. Now Demolition
3. Nosophoros
4. Genocide
5. Plague To End All Plagues
6. Devoid Of Thought
7. Time No More
8. Metamorphosis
9. Hundred Wrathful Deities

Origin - United Kingdom
Style - Thrash Metal

" When I go back and listen to Evile's debut 'Enter The Grave'...I hear a young band copying their heroes..Exodus,Metallica etc....Fast bursts of all out thrash played in a convincing fashion...Even if their wasn't a ton of originality...Now forward two years and the band has signed to a bigger label and is being touted as the next great band "

" Now I have heard conflicting reports about this record...Some really into it ...Others hating on it pretty heavily !....Let Me lay it out for you: In the past 2 years this band has changed dramatically....Music,Vocals,Structure...Gone are the high speed songs..In favor of a more controlled selection of tracks..Mid-Paced Thrash if you will..Overall, the album has a very “...And Justice for All” Metallica feel to it.Now there are some tracks that are still fast..But only sections...I don't want you to think that this is not aggressive..It is!....Just in a very different way "

" Vocally Matt Drake (Guitars,Vocals) has changed too...I personally think he sounds just like Andreas Sydow..Ex-Darkane vocalist...That sort of monotone gruff shout...To me it works well with these tracks and gives the songs sort of a mechanical feel. Guitar wise..This absolutely rips...Riffs are stout and crunchy..and Oliver "Ol" Drake's solos are simply stunning..These are top notch musicians here...They are not fucking around ! "

" Out of all the Thrash revival bands...This is the first to break the typical mold and start to find its own self....Is it a bit long winded?...Probably..11 minute instumentals will do that. But pound for pound...You would have to look long and hard to find a better produced album in 2009..."

With such astonishing progress displayed between only two full-lengths, it will be interesting to see what advancements Evile will make on their next album. They have the potential to deliver a timeless thrash classic and while this album arguably isn’t quite it, it’s a Quantum step in the right direction.

For fans of Metallica,Sepultura(Arise,Chaos era).....

How bout 3 killer albums in 3 days...More comin...Stay tuned !

Just Evil !...Saw it right off !

Assorted Heap - The Experience of Horror (1991)

1. Unexpiated Bloodshed
2. Experience of Horror
3. Rememberance of Tomorrow
4. In Vain
5. Sold Out Soul
6. Trick to Your Mind
7. Terrorized Brains
8. Grave New World
9. Frisia non cantat

Origin - Germany
Style - Thrash Metal

" Although Assorted Heap were late starters in the original German thrash metal scene, their debut album is very faithful to the traditional high-speed antics "

" The Experience Of Horror is very fast and heavy, occasionally also delving into a death side... Except for a couple of short moments, there's not too much attempt at an original expression other than straightforward pounding which of course is fairly intense in itself. A special mention must be given for the raging title track which is lyrically a serious and dramatic take on real-life horror, not to forget a couple of other crushing pieces in the middle. Sometimes even a basic approach like this can work well enough when the band have the right attitude, and Assorted Heap were by no means weak in their delivery "

Great stuff here !........

Thrashers Unite !........Ahh Whatever...

" Album #12 for Dave and the boys "

" The record starts off with 'Dialectic Chaos' and now you see what mustaine has been telling anyone who will listen..Chris Broderick rips with the best out there...The tradeoffs between he and Dave are nothing short of mind-boggling....Hangar 18 all over again ! "

" You will get a hand full of tracks that should kill live...And the rest are very good. The songs are catchy,Perfectly produced(Andy Sneap) and the solo's are relentless..Bordering on over done"

" This Lp is a step up from 'United Abominations'....There's no doubt....Better than 'Rust In Peace'?........Nah....This one falls somewhere between Rust and Countdown....But it will be one of 2009s best records !

Slayer better bring it.....To beat this!

Origin - USA
Style - Thrash Metal

" Another new track from the up-coming album..."

Razormaze - The True Speed of Steel (2009)

1. Dawn of the Shred
2. Annihilator
3. Slaughterotica
4. Desperado
5. Bleed on Command
6. Lobotomized
7. Dipsomaniac
8. Slave to the Maze

Origin - USA
Style - Thrash Metal

" Debut from this thrashing crew "

" Boston thrash outfit Razormaze, which achieved cult status through its relentless touring and widely traded demos, unleashes its debut full-length upon the masses and ravage a town near you. The band, which has been melting faces since late 2007, quickly gained in popularity and was signed to Hold True Recordings in early 2009 "

" Razormaze draws from the tried and true influences of the glory days of thrash, bonding together technical, yet melodic riffing and leads, lightning fast drumming and vocals that sound like a dive-bomber coming in for a kill!! Razormaze and their brand of unwavering metal will surely appeal to fans of Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Nuclear Assault, Testament and Municipal Waste."

I definitely felt the Megadeth vibe for sure...Some damn ripping leads...And catchy riffs....A band that doesn't take itself too seriously...And just sounds like they are having one hell of a good time !

Hyades - The Roots Of Trash (2009)

1. Long Way Back Home
2. I Belong To One
3. A.F.M.S.
4. United In The Struggle
5. The Problem Is You
6. The Great Deceit
7. Still In The Trash
8. Alive But Dead
9. Worse Than The Silence
10. The Moshing Reel

Origin - Italy
Style - Thrash Metal

" 3rd full-length from these Italian moshoholics...Did I just say that?....Next thing you know I will be calling everyone Dog..."

" Now look: Here is another by the book...Thrash Revival band doing the EvilDead,Exodus,Testament...Partly Destruction thing.
Its produced by Andy Classen and sounds nice and snappy if not a little too produced. But to me this sounds like a new Exodus record...Its got some cool tracks and all the instruments are played well...The singer does a good job too...And the songs are catchy "

"Im just wondering if everyone will get tired of the same ol thing or what.....This record is solid in every way..Even down to the Repka artwork (Man it looks like a Evildead cover to me)....I guess in the end you will have to make that decision....

Me...I think its good.....By the numbers.....Thrash....
This version does not have the horrible choice of a cover tune by The Offspring?

Do you think the title is a spelling error?......Nah!

Channel Zero - Channel Zero (1992)

1. No Light (At the End of their Tunnel)
2. Tales of Worship
3. The Pioneer
4. Succeed or Bleed
5. Never Alone
6. Inspiration to Violence
7. Painful Jokes
8. Save me
9. Animation
10. Run With The Torch

Origin - Belgium
Style - Thrash Metal

" Cnannel Zero from Brussels, Belgium were considered by some to be the next Metallica when this album came out...Even though it was a few years late "

" This band started very strongly with their debut, summarizing all that was good from the 80's thrash scene. The style is probably closer to the Bay Area acts: Metallica,Exodus,Testament. the opener "No Light" thrashes without mercy, fast and aggressive, and this is the predominant tone of the album. The guitar work is really good, with very sharp riffs, but without any technical pretensions. "Succeed Or Bleed" and "Inspiration to Violence" are detours into a heavier, slower song-writing, the latter coming with some cool stylish riffage. "Animation" introduces an angrier sound, which would later find its complete realisation on the band's later works, where the guys embraced the modern thrash idea, and their later efforts show no signs of any will to be something more than mere Pantera-clones "

I have to say....Personally...I think this is THE most underrated Thrash Album of all time....That's saying alot......Just get it...And let the 50+ min of Thrash Kick your ass !

How many out there..Ever heard of these guys?

3. Barricade Command
4. Psalm Before the Storm
5. Not
6. Strangled by Life
7. Iron Will Executor
8. Holy Terror
9. Servants
10. Axegressor

Origin - Finland
Style - Thrash Metal

" Debut from the (Turku) Finland crew "

" Already with a cool Ep in 2007...Axegressor let loose their first full-length..Fans of Testament,Kreator,Stone..(remember them?) will have no problem getting into this...This probably leans more towards the bay area sound than anything "

" Riff oriented tracks that have changes and tempo changes to keep it from sounding sterile. Vocally...A sorts shout..yell at the same time...It works ok. The production is strong and the drumming solid..Not flashy "

" Overall, this is a solid little album that would be recommended for anyone who enjoys old thrash metal. It is nothing new, but is a solid release....

Thrash All Night!.......Yes !

6. Atrocity
7. Hiroshima
8. The Devil's Martyr
9. Ultimate Power Corrupts
10. Desolation Alive
11. Burned At The Stake (2009 Version)
12. The Entity (2009 Version)

Origin - Canada
Style - Thrash Metal

" Legendary Canadian thrash warriors Sacrifice who released such fine tour-de-forces of thrash, like the 'Torment In Fire' and 'Forward To Termination' albums during the golden decade of thrash metal are back after a lengthy 16 year absence"

" Sacrifice is back to show the world how its done...Reportedly recorded with no studio trickery,triggers.....Just honest and true organic Thrash Metal "

" This shit is serious...Aint no party rock album...Fast and Heavy riffing with the vocals that tear your head off and and a killing attitude to boot. There are some awesome riff fests in here such as 'Give Me Justice' or the tight title track or the epic 'Desolation Alive' that has some really tasteful lead playing, great riffs and drumming "

All in all...A great comeback album !.....Its like they never left...

Forever Enslaved!..........Go Ahead !

Lazarus A.D. - The Onslaught (2009)

1. Last Breath
2. Thou Shall Not Fear
3. Damnation For The Weak
4. Absolute Power
5. Revolution
6. Rebirth
7. Lust
8. Forged In Blood
9. Every Word Unheard
10. Who I Really Am

Origin - USA
Style - Thrash Metal

" The resurgence of Bay Area Thrash-influenced metal continues with the debut release, ‘The Onslaught’, by Wisconsin-based Lazarus A.D..Which was originally put out independently by the band...Then re-issued and remastered by James Murphy and put out by Metal Blade records "

" Taking their influence from early thrash metal pioneers the guys in Lazarus A.D. have re-invigorated the genre by breathing fresh air into a scene. This CD contains every thing one would expect from a solid thrash metal record; each song is built around a solid core of riffs and includes tons of speed and breakneck solos. Throw in some abrasive vocals and rapid fire drumming and 'Onslaught' is on the mark "

" Even though Lazarus A.D. have not come up with anything original, they were able to revive a style that everybody thought was long gone and make it work in the most efficient manner. Lazarus A.D. have a lot of potential...And I think in the near future can grow into a style of their own...."

Havok - Burn (2009)

1. Wrecquiem
2. The Root of Evil
3. Path to Nowhere
4. Morbid Symmetry
5. Identity Theft
6. The Disease
7. Scabs of Trust
8. Ivory Tower
9. To Hell
10. Category of the Dead
11. Melting the Mountain
12. Afterburner

Origin - USA
Style - Thrash Metal

" When I heard Havok's first E.p. 'Pwn 'em all'..I knew these youngsters had some serious potential...But now on their debut full-length..They have took it to another impressive level ! "

" First of all: It cracks me up when I hear people talk shit about the current Thrash Revival..And how these bands are just re-hashing the classic stuff from the 80s..And how Slayer and Exodus are legends and their is no Thrash anymore "

" If you ask me all music and genres are cyclical...They just come around every 20-30 years for a new generation of bands putting out their version of the music and paying homage to the early originators. I am old and yes I was there in the start..But I still dig this new shit and a new Testament album if it kicks ass "

" Holy cripes...I need to get off the painkillers..I'm fucking angry or something"
Havok from Denver ,Colorado are one of the leading contenders in 2009 to me. This album has all you want in a strong Thrash album...Riffs...Riffs...Riffs and a highly energetic attitude to go along with it. The vocals reek of Chuck Billy...But who cares..They fit well and lyrically these guys have some different shit to say...Anyway..What I'm saying is ...This LP is very good and should go along way to getting this band around the world for a few spins before its over !....Damn..I wish I was along for the ride..Just like the old days !

Destruction,Mayhem,Killing !......Ahh..Whatever !

Architorture - Skeleton Transformer - Demo (2008)

1. Skeleton Transformer
2. Spiritual Disease
3. Blood God
4. Murder 913

Demo was done under the name 'Treachery'...The band since changed names to 'Architorture'

Origin - Finland
Style - Thrash Metal

" Born in 2005...Treachery..Now Architorture has been playing ripping Thrash Metal in and around (Vantaa) Finland "

" These guys sound like a deadly mixture of Slayer meets Kreator...Pietu sounds like a young Mille clone if you ask me....That cool raspy scream/yell sounds so perfect in music like this "

" Of the 4 tracks..3 are short blasts of intense Thrash madness...Then there is the epic 'Blood God'...8 minutes of Hypnosia sounding Thrash...Replete with time changes and destruktive solos...Truly awesome !

Tell me again why these kinds of bands aren't signed?....Hopefully someone does..

Fans of Hypnosia,Kreator etc. you cant go wrong here....

sorry I dont have the cover....oh well..

Inferior - Completing the Prophecy - Demo (2009)

1. Dying to Testify
2. Krüsher
3. Eternal Bloodshed
4. Completing the Prophecy
5. On the Brink of Doomsday

Origin - Sweden
Style - Thrash Metal

" On this site I try to bring you a vast repertoire of different Metal music...And like always... I search high and low for new bands and unheard gems. So it seems lately I am back in the Thrash mode (wasn't that a name of an Artillery song?)...anyway..Here I bring you a young band out of Karlstad,Sweden and this just kicks ass ! "

" Inferior deliver blasting thrash, as it was meant to be. Tight, fast, aggressive and well performed. Really dig on the time changes in the tracks and the ripping solos. The production is great for this style of music. Just listen to the opening track ‘Dying To Testify’ which is a real punch in the face with its intensity and speed. Kristian Karlsson on vocals sounds just as pissed off as Slayers Tom Araya at his best moment "

" Fast...Angry....Catchy....Aggressive Thrash Metal just the way I like it !...This brings me back to a day when I would discover new bands and play it for all my friends on an old Kenwood tube amp and some 4 foot high JBL speakers...Oh shit..That's right..I still do....Again..These guys deserve your attention...Track it down and buy it !

And one more thing: I will even let them slide for the spelling error on the cover...Seems more underground anyway..

Thrash is the law !.......Believe it!

Energetic Krusher - Path to Oblivion (1989)

1. Lord of Darkness
2. The Blast
3. Thrash Ritual
4. The Blades
5. Battle Cry
6. Brain Damage
7. Yukk
8. War Path
9. Back From the Dead
10. Energetic Krusher

Origin - United Kingdom
Style - Thrash Metal

" Here's a rare one !.......Probably one of the most obscure British thrash bands, Energetic Krusher played some of the heaviest thrash metal on this...their only full-length release "

" This record has all the tempo changes of the classic period...A little lower vocal register than most....But then this LP borders on Early Death Metal in certain parts "

Fast, short, aggressive thrashers bordering on death is what these guys offer; an obscure, but Classic Release !

Recommended to all who dig their Music done the old way !

Subcyde - Subcyde (2007)

1. Knives In The Dark
2. War Infected
3. Power Smash
4. A Sea Of Serpents
5. Testament
6. Hollow Death
7. Sentence Is Death
8. Sacred Scars
9. Perfect Enema
10. Pitchblack
11. All For Extinction

Origin - Sweden
Style - Thrash Metal

" The Swedes Subcyde has been around as a band since 1997, and why this is their first full length album, I can only be guessing about, because they sure have something to offer in the aggressive end of the thrash scene "

" Musical comparisons to early Testament, Machine Head, Sepultura and even Pantera can easily be made, and I think it overall holds the level of the mentioned bands. So this is more old school type of thrash, but also with a groovy edge on the riffing part. That doesn’t mean that it’s worn out or gets boring stylistically..."

" A very professional recording, powerful production....But why the dark artwork?
It just doesn't match up with the album....Pentagram,Horned Monster..Cool...Just make it so we can make it out better......Anyway...This is a top notch record...Check it out !

Devils Hand !.........Says !
