4. The Coronation of Seth
5. Hamunaptra
6. Iteru
7. Goddess of Masr
8. Ouroboros
9. Circle in Flames
10. Through the Eyes of Ea

Origin - Canada
Style - Symphonic Death Metal

" Whoa.....This one surely took me by surprise !.......Seeing media types comparing bands is always a laugh for me..Cause they are usually wrong....So seeing such names as Behemoth,Nile,Emperor being heavyweight names made me hesitate to hear this...But Im glad I did. "

" Im not saying you dont hear some influences from said acts.....But just because you hear middle eastern style music does not mean it sounds like Nile. Aeternam brings a symphonic epic style of Death Metal....That reminds of Septic Flesh as much as anything...Even that is probably off. This Lp has it all....Epic passages consisting of deep growls, blazing leads, outstanding melodies and some fine clean voice singing "

" This album is a power house of epic, catchy tracks and I for one dig it......

2. The Ones I Condemn
3. Give Me Justice
4. The Great Wall
5. Tetragrammaton
6. Atrocity

9. Ultimate Power Corrupts
10. Desolation Alive
11. Burned At The Stake (2009 Version)
12. The Entity (2009 Version)

Origin - Canada
Style - Thrash Metal

" Legendary Canadian thrash warriors Sacrifice who released such fine tour-de-forces of thrash, like the 'Torment In Fire' and 'Forward To Termination' albums during the golden decade of thrash metal are back after a lengthy 16 year absence"

" Sacrifice is back to show the world how its done...Reportedly recorded with no studio trickery,triggers.....Just honest and true organic Thrash Metal "

" This shit is serious...Aint no party rock album...Fast and Heavy riffing with the vocals that tear your head off and and a killing attitude to boot. There are some awesome riff fests in here such as 'Give Me Justice' or the tight title track or the epic 'Desolation Alive' that has some really tasteful lead playing, great riffs and drumming "

All in all...A great comeback album !.....Its like they never left...

Augury - Fragmentary Evidence (2009)

1. Aetheral
2. Simian Cattle
3. Orphans of Living
4. Jupiter to Ignite
5. Sovereigns Unknown
6. Skyless
7. Faith Puppeteers
8. Brimstone Landscapes
9. Oversee the Rebirth

Origin - Canada
Style - Progressive/Technical Death Metal

" 5 years after the great debut 'Concealed'...Montreal's Augury return with their sophomore release " Fragmentary Evidence "

" Augury is a stellar example of how metal can be progressive, epic, technical, brutal, and original all at once. This is very tough to do....And not sound like a million styles thrown in one. The way they manage it is....Musicianship of the highest order (Listen to the bass playing of Dominic "Forest" Lapointe(Quo Vadis) or the technical drumming of Antoine Baril...And you will see what I mean "

" But its the guitarists Patrick Loisel & Mathieu Marcotte that experiment and intertwine different musical styles that keeps the ball rolling. Easily switching from brutal passages to finely crafted 12 string acoustic interludes. Vocally: This runs the gamut....Death growls,Screams and everything in-between...Now 55 minutes is a lot of music to digest and some will lose patience....But those with an open mind and an hour of your time..Will find some treasures in the 9 tracks here "

Fans of the progressive, technical side of metal...You will have no problem with this....Others?.....Need not apply !

Sympathy - Anagogic Tyranny (2008)

1. Insurrection
2. And All Flesh
3. On a Bloodied Cross
4. Ours the Grave
5. Perfection in Death
6. Enslaved by Depravity
7. Underworld
8. Forgotten Temples
9. The Iscariot Aspect: Fides Quarens Intellectum
10. Potter’s Field:Hic Occultus Occulto Occisus Est

Origin - Canada
Style - Technical Death Metal

" Sympathy returns with a third full length full of Technicality and Brutality "

" Essentially a one man project up until now...Composer and Guitar/Vocals master Dharok has added Jeff Lewis(Abolishment of Hate, Mortification) and Jim Austin (Into Eternity) on drums. As a result, Anagogic Tyranny is the band's most cohesive sounding album yet "

" Dharok takes his trademark mix of aggressive thrash, technical brutal death, and harsh black, and ups the ante with songs that take his sound to an entirely different plain. The compositions are more complex, the playing more technical (featuring some of the fastest playing Sympathy has ever performed), and the songs are unpredictable, as elements of black, death, thrash, doom, and orchestral elements are melded together.....The wicked guitar solos are sprinkled through-out and are very Necrophagist in speed and technique "

Folks...This is a twisting...turning...technical album of the highest order with ripping solos and symphonic over-tones....A great release !

For fan's of Spawn Of Possession,Necrophagist etc.

Voivod - Dimension Hatröss (1988)

1. Experiment
2. Tribal Convictions
3. Chaosmöngers
4. Technocratic Manipulators
5. Macrosolutions to Megaproblems
6. Brain Scan
7. Psychic Vacuum
8. Cosmic Drama
9. Batman

Origin - Canada
Style - Progressive Thrash Metal

" 4th full length from the visionary Voivod...Released nearly two years after the transitional Killing Technology, Dimension Hatross is the first album where Voivod's experimental metal is explored from beginning to end "

" Shedding the cliched lyrics that the band relied on for their first two releases, they're thankfully replaced by much more thought-provoking lyrics. The group has also grown as musicians -- guitarist Denis d'Amour is one of metal's finest, the rhythm section of Michel Langevin on drums and Jean-Yves Theriault on bass is tighter than ever, and vocalist Denis Belanger sings more conventionally (no more shrieking). The band's sudden songwriting maturity becomes evident from the opening track, "Experiment," when futuristic imagery collides head on with heavy sounds. "Macrosolutions to Megaproblems" contains impressive, busy interplay between the bandmembers, while "Tribal Convictions"is simply one of my favorite thrash tracks of all time....Classic ! "

Dimension Hatross is perplexing and unique enough that even if you were initially put off by the unusual riffing, nonlinear song structures and Snake's nasal vocals, you'll eventually find yourself humming the chorus from "Tribal Convictions" or "Cosmic Drama" one day, and feel the irrepressible need to listen to the album... and then you'll be hooked for life.......

Original,Heavy,Punkish,Spacey,......Can only begin to describe this record....On a post note: I was fortunate to be in the audience in 1988 after this came out...Seeing Voivod live was amazing...like being caught in a tornado....Snake spinning around while singing..like a fucking airplane ! Truly Memorable !

Neuraxis - Trilateral Progression (2005)

1. Introspect
2. Clarity
3. Thought Adjuster
4. Shatter the Wisdom
5. Monitoring the Mind
6. A Currative Struggle
7. Chamber of Guardians
8. Caricature
9. Axioms
10. The Apex

Origin - Canada
Genre - Technical Melodic Death Metal

"Neuraxis are a veteran death metal band who have put together a fourth album of impressive heaviness and quality. This is also intermingled with melodic sections, while still retaining the brutal atmosphere that hangs over the album.Whilst musically Neuraxis wear their death metal credentials on their collective sleeve, lyrically 'Trilateral Progression' is a strange beast. Not many death metal albums begin with the line "Wisdom is the apex of intellectual performances" and end with "temporal cycles, hidden melody of the stellar regulations "

" The music on this disc, although a few tracks stand out, congruent with the musical themes of the album. All of the songs tie together, in other words. Tight, fast riffing, blasting drums, melodic passages, and vocals which can only be described as a malevolent swarming force combine to make one of the most interesting and unique albums in recent metal. The production is clean, with all instruments (even the bass is somewhat audible as it lends heaviness to the riffing) being presented clearly. The drums are in the forefront, but do not drown anything out. Think Testament’s “The Gathering” and not Cryptopsy’s “Once Was Not” and you’ll have a good idea of the preeminence of the drum sound in the mix. The vocals seem to come at you from all directions at once, and feature guest spots by Jason Netherton of Misery Index, Pat Loisel of Augury, ex-vocalist Maynard Moore, Alex Erian of Despised Icon, and Guillaume Audet of Nefastus Dies "

" Neuraxis are tight, technically adept, and fast yet are able to write infectiously groovy songs which inspire headbanging !.......Cant wait for the new album.........

The album art, done by Mike Riddick, is absolutely stunning!
